Passive Search

When recruiters find you through your profile and posts.

  • Optimized English profile attracts international recruiters automatically.
  • Consistent posts (2–3x/week) keep the profile visible on recruiters’ radar.
  • When someone comments or interacts with your post, their entire network may see it — expanding organic reach.

A well-positioned professional doesn’t rely solely on active applications — their profile works for them 24/7.

Active Search

When you go after opportunities. Just as important as passive.

Direct Recruiter Outreach

Instead of waiting to be discovered, go directly to those who have the role:

  1. Find recent openings (posted within 4 weeks) in LinkedIn’s jobs feed.
  2. Identify the recruiter or job poster — whoever shared the listing.
  3. Connect with a personalized message: “Hi [Name], I saw you posted about a [role] opening. I have experience with [skills] and would love to chat about the opportunity.”
  4. If you can’t connect, send a direct message (InMail) or apply and notify the recruiter.

Effective Search Filters

Use LinkedIn Search to find recruiters and roles:

  • (Flash OR Natura OR ItaĂș OR "Grupo BoticĂĄrio") AND ("desenvolvedor" OR developer OR web OR frontend OR backend) AND ("remoto" OR remote OR "home office")
  • Filter by “Posts” (hot openings, recently published).
  • Filter ? & Remote, & LATAM — international recruiters use LATAM to find talent in Latin America.

Strategic Connections

  • Connect with tech recruiters (HR, Tech Recruiter, Talent Acquisition) and technical peers (Frontend Engineers, Software Engineers) — they share openings and refer candidates.
  • ⚠ Avoid connecting with professionals from unrelated fields (administrative assistants, accountants, dentists) — their content pollutes your timeline and confuses the algorithm.
  • Prefer international connections, but Brazilian peers in tech don’t hurt.
